Welcome to Rosewater Counseling where I specialize in mental health therapy for anxiety, stress, trauma, depression and life transitions. My mission is to provide compassionate personalized care that empowers individuals to lead authentic and fulfilling lives.

Who We Are

"I am passionate about helping you navigate the complexities of mental health. I understand that anxiety, stress, trauma and depression can be overwhelming, especially during times of significant change. My approach is rooted in mindfulness, somatic practices, parts work and Brainspotting, all of which support healing the unique needs of each individual.

Our Philosophy

I believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. My holistic approach focuses on understanding the underlying causes of your symptoms, building new options for behaviors and emotional responses, and promoting overall well-being. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where all are welcome to explore feelings, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and achieve lasting mental health.

My Commitment

Your journey to mental well-being is my top priority. I am  dedicated to walking alongside you every step of the way, providing the tools and support you need to thrive.

I am excited to meet you!

You are welcome to contact me to set up a free 15 minute phone consultation so we can make sure I am a good fit for your needs. From there we can set up therapy options that make sense for you.

Arianne Johnston
(she/her), MA, LMFT

Hello! I'm Arianne. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a certified Brainspotting Therapist. I began providing therapy in 2015 and I have since practiced in a variety of settings: in homes, in schools, and in private practice settings at small group practices. In these settings I have had the honor to work with hundreds of people on issues related to anxiety, stress, nervous system regulation, trauma, attachment wounds and depression.

In the therapy space I strive to create a warm, safe & non-judgmental space for clients to explore what they're wanting to adjust or create in their lives. As a white, heterosexual, cisgender woman, I am actively engaging in deepening my understanding of how these identities & society have shaped my personal experiences, as well as my therapeutic lens. I am passionate about exploring and celebrating all the different aspects of one’s identity and incorporating that into clients' therapy journeys as they desire.

On a personal note, I grew up on both coasts of the United States, as well as in Minnesota, so you can expect a mix of multiple regional cultures in my personality, not just "Minnesota nice." I am a wife, daughter, sister, Aunt and animal parent to one dog and two cats. Outside of therapy sessions I enjoy traveling, reading, walking/hiking, and spending time with friends and family. I look forward to meeting you!
